Treat the dead as if they were alive

Inspired by Han Dynasty funerary cosmology, Afterlife Continuum combines jade, mirrors, celestial imagery, and symbolic creatures to create a spatial meditation on death and transcendence. The work reinterprets the ancient belief that life continues beyond death, exploring transformation, memory, and the passage between realms.

Cone Inquiry

Cone Inquiry is composed of 365 pyrometric cones collected from daily kiln firings. Used to measure temperature during the firing process, the cones become records of time, heat, and transformation. The installation reflects on chance, material agency, and the delicate balance between human intention and natural forces.

Healing Structures

Combining burl wood, reclaimed porcelain fragments, and zipper-like sutures, the work explores healing as a process of material coexistence, where damaged forms are transformed into new structures of vitality.

The reshaped flowers

Blooming Scar combines burl wood, cliff cypress, and reclaimed porcelain fragments joined by metal zippers. Through acts of repair and reconstruction, the work explores resilience, healing, and the possibility of renewal. Damaged materials are transformed into new forms of vitality, where fragility and strength coexist.
